Apportion total allowable error across axes and components, then model your kinematic chain with real compliance and thermal effects — and see the loop close in real time.

A tool for precision-machine designers who don't want to open yet another nested-spreadsheet nightmare just to add one error source.
Deterministic machine design starts with a number: the total allowable error at the tool tip. Everything downstream is budgeting — how much of that number you can spend on bearings, structure, actuators, thermal gradients, loads.
This app is two linked halves. Apportionment sets per-component targets top-down. Detailed budget validates them bottom-up via homogeneous-transformation-matrix propagation. Change one, see the other react.
Three steps, one closed loop.
Apportion, build, validate — then iterate. The tool connects the three so you see the consequences of design decisions immediately.
A full kinematic error model. Not a tolerance-stack calc.
Apportionment
N-axis allocation via linear-sum, RSS, or averaged methods. Dynamic error-type and component factors. Matches the Phase-1 fixture to 3 decimals.
HTM chain
Homogeneous transformation matrices from base to POI. Systematic errors sum signed; random errors combine as RSS. Abbe amplification baked in.
6×6 compliance
Beam-model library auto-computes compliance matrices from cantilever or simply-supported geometry. Four cross-sections, four materials.
Thermal layer
Per-CS thermal expansion δ = CTE × ΔT × L folds into the chain as systematic perturbation. Visualised live.
Applied loads
Forces and moments at the POI back-propagate through the chain. Structure + attachment deflections contribute to total displacement.
Pareto breakdown
Ranked contribution table shows exactly which error source is eating your budget. Optimise what matters, ignore what doesn't.
Closed loop
Apportionment target flows into the detailed budget as a traffic-light indicator. Green, yellow, red — no ambiguity.
